June 7

The GAAS 80th Anniversary started with a public celebration at the Seiberling Nature Realm. The event was a Summit MetroParks event, in collaboration with GAAS, held from 12 noon until 4:00. Activities included live animals from the Medina Raptor Rehabilitation Center, a display from the Wild Bird Center, the GAAS display, a stuffed ring-necked pheasant, a stuffed passenger pigeon (courtesy of the MetroParks), and children's crafts (making personalized binoculars.)

June 24

The celebration continued at the chapter's June picnic with a presentation by Marie Morgan on the history of the chapter. This presentation evolved into the slides given here.
