Audubon at Home
Our backyards are our private spaces, but also part of a larger landscape we share with our
human and wildlife neighbors. With the right tools and information, we all can do simple things to
create a healthier place to live for our families, our communities, and birds, plants, and other wildlife.
Audubon At Home is about taking personal conservation action to improve the environmental health
and habitat quality of our yards and neighborhoods. Together, our actions can have a substantial effect.
Local Activities
- August 2, 2006 - The Portage Soil & Water Conservation District is sponsoring a Audubon-at-Home
program presented by Casey Tucker, Education Specialist for Audubon Ohio. Please join us on Wednesday,
August 2 at 6:00pm in the Garden Meeting Room located at 6970 SR 88 in Ravenna.
- July 23, 2006 - Garden Day at the Nature Realm was held on July 23, 2006 as a team effort by the Nature Realm
Herb Society and the Summit County Master Gardeners. In addition to some presentations given during the day, tents
were set up near the spotlight gardens so that members of participating groups could answer questions about the gardens.
Members of the Greater Akron Audubon Society were at the activity and the following photos:

Seiberling NatureRealm. You can see them and the garden at
