Participants must register (and pay if not a member) on the Stan Hywet website. Like before, any person on the bird walk then has access to Stan Hywet for the rest of the day (they must get a wristband before leaving). |

Meet at 8:00 a.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024 in the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trailhead parking lot on North Street in Clinton (2749 North St., Clinton , OH , 44216). We will walk south in hopes of finding birds seen during this week in previous years such as Sandhill Crane, Solitary Sandpiper, Black Vulture, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, both kinglets, Swamp Sparrow, Rusty Blackbird, and maybe a few vireos and warblers.

Birding at the Firestone Metro Park every year starting the last Saturday in April and extending through each Saturday in May. For more details, click the button below.
fall 2024 bird walks
- Saturday September 14 at Valley View (Cascade) Summit Co. Metropark - meet in the parking lot at 8:OO A.M.
- Saturday October 19 at Ira Rd. Beaver Marsh in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park - meet in parking lot at 8:00 A.M.
Both walks will last about two hours depending on conditions.

March is prime season for migrating waterfowl. Join Brian Tinker and Ned DeLamatre at Portage Lakes State Park to see what may have flown in to Turkeyfoot Lake. Enter at Portage Lakes State Park sign and drive all the way down the entrance road until you reach the back parking lot near the beach area. Park and meet in the back right corner of the parking lot.

Spring is a great time to view ducks, geese, sand hill cranes and other migratory birds. New and experienced birdwatchers can join a Summit Metro Parks naturalist for a chance to view these birds during spring migration. We will begin at the Tinkers Creek Area, then caravan to Tinkers Creek State Nature Preserve. Bring binoculars or a spotting scope.
