portage lakes purple martin association
Speaker: Larry Hunter
Date & Location:
June 28, 2022 GAAS Annual Picnic, Martin Field Station, Bath Nature Preserve, 6:30pm
The presentation will deal with the history of the Portage Lakes Purple Martin Association (PLPMA) and its activities. The PLPMA was instrumental in getting the Portage Lakes area designated as the Purple Martin Capital of Ohio. Larry will also bring some materials for a show-and-tell.
Location and Event Information:
There will no formal nature walk, but we encourage interested parties to bring their binoculars and go for a walk. The potluck picnic will be at about 6:30pm, so there should be time for a walk beforehand or possibly after the picnic. For the picnic, GAAS will provide beverages and accessories (plates, cups, napkins, etc). Attendees only need to bring a potluck dish for sharing. To get to the Field Station, just drive past the first parking lot and continue on the road until it ends.
