HistoryBirders have already reported 148 species of birds in this new Metropark opened to the public one year ago.
The park features a large grassland, wetlands, forest and the Cuyahoga River. It has a pair of nesting Bald Eagles. Many migratory bird species have been reported including Nighthawk, Woodcock, about 18 species of warblers including Connecticut and Mourning Warbler, Lincoln's Sparrow, Merlin and Great-horned Owl. The trails are mostly flat and easy to walk. |
How to Participate
The location is 1212 Cuyahoga St., across the street from the Cascade Valley Metro Park-Oxbow Area.
Walks in 2022 will take place on September 4 & 18 and October 1 & 15. We will start at 8:00 am and end around 10:00 am. We will cover a little over one mile.
